Ashley Meeks Guida

Ashley has 25 years of experience riding and caring for horses. Her formal training includes Covered Bridge Pony Club, lessons in Eventing and Dressage in Kentucky and Pennsylvania, working student for Sonya Crampton, assistant for Paul Belasik, trainer for Midland Foxhounds. In 2005, Ashley sustained major injuries in a horse-related accident that left her "out of the saddle" for a few years. In late spring 2008, Ashley began managing and training at York Stables. Ashley continues to maintain memberships in USEF, USET, USEA, MSEDA realizing their importance to both her professional and personal development within the sport.

Ashley and BachSarah DeRuyter will be available on a limited basis for lessons at York Stables. Private lessons are $110. Sarah was our lovely Judge for our Dressage Show and is an upper level rider herself having successfully competed Internationally at the FEI level and trained her own OTTB through Grand Prix. She has trained with many top riders/trainers including Elaine Ward, Kenneth Hodges, Peter Gray, Cpt Werner Wagner, Susan Stephenson, and cliniced with Cindy Ishoy, and Tracy Lert.
Sarah is a positive and encouraging teacher that takes a non-confrontational approach allowing horse & rider to develop confidently as a team. She has a unique way of breaking down even the most complex movements into easy-to-follow baby steps making dressage accessible to riders of all disciplines.
